Your mind, body and soul are the pillars that will carry you into your day. What you think and how you feel in response to it, will build your experience. In the last few days I have learnt the power of community - more than ever before. However in order to find it, I had to become even more sensitive to myself.
When you open those eyes in the morning, and the sun is casting light from behind the blinds and you feel heavy... ask yourself...
What do I want to feel?
Wether its to grow your business or simply to live your best life, You have to start with your self! Give yourself time and others will as well. Here is what works for me...
Shift your thoughts away from negative expectation and into control. Take a deep breath in and out. Now count yourself into your day, ready? 5 4 3 2 1! Get up. DO NOT PICK THAT PHONE UP, stretch into your body. My day starts like this every morning!
I set up my shower. Where there is water I am in my sanctuary. I play binaural meditative music and step into the shower. If you want to feel ease about your day you must start with ease. Getting up for work with only enough time to get dressed and styled is not going to create ease... so get up an hour before that.
This hour is your time! No loud sudden sounds or disturbances. Just you the steady rhythm of your heartbeat, and your mind.
As the water hits my skin I steady my breathing and begin to meditate. The water casts out trivial thought with its sound and the binaural music softens the surrounds.
Focusing on my breathing I set up how I want to feel. Thought before form. I say 'I am worthy of my desires, today I will embody my inspirations, I appreciate the universe holding me up and keeping me present'.
The key here is to not just tell your self but to feel what your saying. Whilst I am saying this to myself I am picturing my perfect day. I am not stressed, frowning or tired. I know what feels good in my environment and I make sure its present. I like calm music, a breeze and an organised office. Is your space filled with bad lighting no air flow and zero personality? If so its no wonder you dread heading to work or to your desk.
Slowly clearing my mind I then begin to visualise my day. I get specific about what I am feeling and I focus on these details.
I let any previous habitual negative presumptions, wash away with the water.
Mindset is the foundation to everything you action and what you gain from it. It starts with how you feel.
Life is a ritual. You decide the outcome.
Go with feeling.
