Awake, is a deep uncovering of my creative process and self discovery through experimentation, research and self analysis.
When I was just a student in design, I was lucky enough to be taught by industry professionals with a strong focus - that style and no substance is useless and that you should embrace your uniqueness, your story.
I was originally a fairly timid individual, and made attempts to hide my weird. What I discovered is my self and that my uniqueness was never something I had to acquire, it was something I had to realise.
Self reflect! Ask questions! Shake Perception!
Stimuli is the love project for Avant Garde fashion photographer Jaun M. He commissioned me to produce an Identity including creative direction across his branded imagery.
Stimuli explores deep emotive narrative, aiming to inspire the observation, reflection and thought behind the fashion we wear and the meaning the designer is trying to convey to their cult following of fans.
I was commissioned by experiential design studio Sandpit, to design the the interface layout for the new ACTF children's television series, Little Lunch's app.
The app allows fans of the show to make up their own mini episode of Little Lunch, by interacting with the story writing process within the app.
Sandpit's incredible Experiential design allowed an easy conclusion of graphic application and an effective result which went on to earn "Best Interactive Production" in the 16th Screen Producers Australia Awards. You can see more of Sandpits work [ here ].
As a case study, I wanted to give some soul to the soulless Southgate Shopping Centre. One Four Four! Inspired by the exact geographic location terminology - 144 is the exact location from South. The concept was to create a personal relationship between the space & the people who engage with it.
